Research Advisor Dr Sandro Knezović participated in the sixth Balkan Think Tanks Convention, entitled “Resilience and Cooperation in a Turbulent World,” held on 26–27 October in Sofia, Bulgaria. The convention was organised by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), the SETA Foundation, and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.
Dr Knezović participated as a speaker on the panel entitled “Assessing the EU Integration of the Balkans,” which focused on the European integration process of the Western Balkan countries and the wider region. The discussion addressed the current state and prospects of EU accession, the challenges facing countries in the region on their path towards membership, and the role of the European Union in promoting political reforms, regional stability, and cooperation.
