IRMO Brief 02/2025, authored by Sebastian von Münchow and Allesia Noschese, deals with the analysis of trends of EU Member States’ support for Ukraine. The 2024 European Parliament Elections, as well as national elections in Italy, the Netherlands, France, Austria and three German federal states, revealed that political parties favoring a softer stance towards Russia are on the rise. This contribution elaborates on whether there is growing fatigue in supporting Ukraine against the aggressor. It also examines whether local public threat perceptions were ignored, and if so, which ones.
