The Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) together with the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) from Brussels organizes a two-day public event “Zagreb EU Pre-Presidency Conference – Europe at a Crossroads”. Date of the conference is 28th and 29th of November 2019 and the premises Library of Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square 14. Such conferences are regularly organised by TEPSA in a partnership with national TEPSA member institute or university before the start of each particular presidency in the capital of a member state. The conference will gather experts from the EU member states and the EU candidate countries, policy makers, media and civil society representatives as well as public at large. The aim is to discuss challenges ahead of the upcoming Croatian Presidency. The keynote speech of the high ranking official of Croatian government has also been envisaged. The conference will focus on priorities of Croatian Presidency but it will also discuss the most important topics on the EUʼs agenda such as enlargement, extension of the Eurozone, socio-demographic and migration challenges, new composition of the EUʼs institutions, challenges in the area of connectivity etc.
