This publication is as a product of IRMO researchers within the ‘Civil Society Capacity Building to Map and Monitor Security Sector Reform in the Western Balkans’ project which is financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway. This is regional project involving 7 regional think-tank organizations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia and it is being developed in cooperation with the DCAF.
It analyses three phases of security sector reform in Croatia in the period between 1989 and 2009, highlighting its main trends and challenges. The publication aims to raise awareness about the importance of the aforementioned processes in Croatia, being an interesting and useful read for all who are interested in security-related issues in Croatia.
