Rovinj, 24th – 25th March 2022

IRMO members attended the conference „European Green Deal: Institutional and Economic Challenges for the EU in a Challenging Strategic Environment“  organized by the Zagreb office of Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Institute for Development and International Relations. The event took place in Rovinj from 24th to 25th March 2022. The conference focused on the European Green Deal, a strategic document of the European Commission aimed at achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Participants discussed about the institutional and economic capacities which are a precondition for comprehensive reforms required by the European Green Deal. Jakša Puljiz, PhD gave a lecture on „The Economic Framework of the European Green Deal“ whereas Ana-Maria Boromisa, PhD gave a lecture on „The Institutional Framework of the European Green Deal“. Sandro Knezović, PhD moderated the round table „EU Green Plan – Green Agenda“. The European Green Deal became part of the European foreign policy which success depends on partnerships with various stakeholders worldwide. The conference was attended by the members of academic community, EU institutions’ representatives, as well as students of the Faculty of Law in Osijek, Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, and Libertas University.
