The title of this years seminar ,,European Diplomacy Facing Security Challenges’’ indicates serious and unpredictable shocks and threats that the EuropeanUnion is facing. A big emphasis within the seminar has been put on the encouragement of dialogue among prominent experts in the field of international relations, geopolitics and security, as well as among future young diplomats and experts on the question of the EU enlargement. The goal of the discussion was to explain the challenging geo-strategic environment that the EU is in and the perspectives of the potential enlargement on the EU-36. Considering the revival of forgotten conflicts worldwide, that are in great measure digitalisedtoday, the EU is facing new sorts of challenges. The new security challenges, such as drastic changes in the world order, the spread of disinformation and AI tools, have brought the European Union at the threshold of the reconceptualization of the commonsecurity and defence policy.
