IRMO researcher Nevenka Čučković in co-authorship with Valentina Vučković from Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb , published an original scientific article titled “COVID-19 and Global Value Chains Participation: Export Performance of Croatian Firms” in the South East European Journal of Economics and Business. The journal is referenced in Scopus and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) – Web of Science Core Collection.

The article analyses the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the operation of Global Value Chains (GVC) as well as on the existing long-term trends of their re-configuration that started after the global financial crisis. The authors in particular focus on exploring how these processes affected the participation of Croatian exporting enterprises. When estimating these effects for Croatia, the article brings econometric analyses of the World Bank Enterprise Survey data.
