In September 2022 the European Commission released the report Stormy Times: Nature and humans: cultural courage for change prepared by the members of the European Union Open Method of Coordination expert group on the cultural dimension of sustainable development in which two IRMO researchers – Aleksandra Uzelac and Jaka Primorac – took part. The report focuses on the role of culture as a driver towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasising a need to rethink the relationship between humans and nature and to fuel our cultural imagination for a liveable, sustainable future. This report delivers 11 messages for action for and from Europe, each pointing to a specific area and calls for serious commitment and urgently required action.
