The project includes activities on implementation of the ex-ante evaluation and elaboration of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the Hungary-Croatia Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014- 2020. After the analysis of development documents important for the cross-border area, workshops have been organized and interviews conducted with key development actors. The goal of ex-ante evaluation is to ensure that operational programmes clearly define priorities that should be implemented in the area next to the border with Hungary contributing to the implementation of the Strategy Europe 2020. During 2014 Strategic environmental assessment was created, which describes, identifies and assesses possible effects of the Hungary-Croatia Operational programme for cross-border cooperation for the period 2014-2020 on the environment, and identifies possible measures to decrease potential negative effects. The project is in the final phase of consultation with the interested public to be held during March 2015.
