The project was conducted in the scope of the SEENET Program (AID 8934.01.5) Vertical Action 2-A „ Valorisation of local resources in order to develop rural tourism in the region of Herzegovina and Dubrovnik”.
The overall objective of the project was to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of population in rural areas of Dubrovnik – Neretva County and the region of Herzegovina, stimulating the diversification of sources, starting from the evaluation of the traditional wine and culinary, crafts and natural resources for tourism purposes. The specific objective is to run through the initiative of cooperation between the Dubrovnik – Neretva County and the region of Herzegovina, and with the support of Italian partners develop a cross-border systems in the development of rural areas by using their specific cultural, traditional, agricultural-food and accommodation resources. This means the strengthening of a new segment of the common tourist attractions, which can significantly enhance the development of tourism, increase the influx of tourists who are attracted to and interested in cultural and natural attractions and special ambiance in a rural area of these regions.
