The goal of the NITIES project is to investigate and improve strategies and public policies related to addressing the advantages and potential negative impacts of the night-time economy on the development of urban areas. The impact of the development of the night-time economy on the economic development of urban areas, the culture and cohesion of communities, the impact on the environment, urban mobility and security will be analyzed. The project will ultimately influence public policy improvements and provide a science-based framework for integrated night-time economy (NTE) management in urban areas. Also, international cooperation and the transfer of innovative solutions and good practices between more developed and less developed cities in Europe will be ensured.
Partners in the project: The Institute for Development and International Relations is the leading partner, in cooperation with 8 partners (City of Zagreb, City of Warsaw (Poland), City of Galway (Ireland), City of Tallinn (Estonia), City of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy), City of Vilnius (Lithuania), Foundation of Landscape Protection (Poland)).
