The article seeks to explain the variations in the quality of the executive-legislative relations observed during the coronavirus crises in Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. The specific thematic focus is placed upon institutional adaptations, the choice of legal framework, the use of the oversight tools by the parliamentarians and the role of the judiciary in correcting political decisions. Based on the conducted analysis the article makes conclusions that could be useful for research of political systems in times of crisis beyond the narrow scope of the three selected countries.

The Czech Journal of International Relations (CJIR) is a peer-reviewed quarterly that publishes scholarly work in International Relations (IR) and other related topics. It is indexed in the Web of Science (ESCI), Scopus, C.E.E.O.L., ProQuest, and other databases.
