Mobility ImPACT on Transport Workers (MIPACT)

The MIPACT project is financed under the European Social Fund+ (ESF) Programme, Call: ESF-2021-POW (Posting of Workers: Enhancing Administrative Cooperation and Access to Information). The project leader is FEDERAZIONE AUTONOMA DEI SINDACATI DEI TRASPORTI from Italy, and partners from Spain, Greece, Poland, Norway and Belgium participate in the implementation of the project in addition to IRMO.
A new regulatory framework for employment and work in the EU entered into force in February 2022, but its impact on the transport sector is unknown. Therefore, the project will research the level of knowledge about the possibilities of implementing the new legislative framework and encourage international cooperation in the transport sector in order to ensure improvements in access to information on the minimum wage, working hours, annual leave, precarious jobs, health and social insurance, women’s and men’s equality, and other employment conditions and administrative requirements for leading companies. Proposals for unique, clear and comprehensible business processes in the EU area will be developed.
IRMO experts will work together with other experts to develop the project methodology. In addition, a case study on the example of Croatia will be developed, a workshop for stakeholders will be organized and the research findings will be presented through info graphics and a special video.
The goal of the project is the analysis of the new legislative framework related to employment in the EU and practices related to the mobility of workers and their impact on workers in the transport sector. The research focus of the project will be on truck drivers in international traffic.
The expected impact is an increase in knowledge and information about the new legislative framework and new business practices.
