Zagreb: European Commission Representation in the Republic of Croatia, August Cesarec street no. 4

The Institute for Development and International Relations and the European Commission Representation in the Republic of Croatia are organizing the round table Challenges of the environmental protection policy – how to proceed?. The event will be held on Tuesday the 19th of April 2016 in the House of Europe, August Cesarec street no. 4. in Zagreb between 10.00am and 12.30pm. The round table is the second public event within the Jean Monnet project Policy Observatory in Croatia – POLO-Cro28 which is implemented by IRMO since September 2015, and which is financed from the Erasmus +  program of the European Commission.

The round table discussion will be focused on importance of the environmental protection policy in Croatia in the areas of waste management, water management, nature protection and climate change, as well as on Croatian challenges regarding implementation of reforms in line with the EU’s legislative and strategic framework for the forthcoming period. Furthermore, the experiences in environmental protection policy implementation of the new EU Member States will be also discussed. The event will be concluded with a Q&A session.
