The Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), in partnership with the Austrian National Defence Academy, Directorate General for Security Policy at the Austrian Ministry of Defence, and PfP Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes is organizing the international conference entitled “Croatia’s Upcoming EU Presidency – a Catalyst for South East Europe?” The conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities that Croatia will face as it presides over the Council of the European Union for the first time. Of particular interest will be what Croatia can do to promote further EU integration of the rest of the Southeast Europe region. The event will take place from 26 – 29 September 2019 in Split, Croatia.
