European Commission conducts evaluation of the programs it is financing. One of these programs is the Intra Western Balkan Borders programme. The overall objective of this programme includes the preparation and implementation of the EC interim evaluation methodology to stimulate cross-border cooperation between West Balkan countries through 3 key components: 1) economic development through cross-border cooperation, 2) cooperation in cultural / general social dimension, 3) environmental cooperation. The key objective of the whole CBC program is to support the EU integration and socio-economic development of these areas. Analyses are conducted with the methodology, content and financial aspects of the whole program with the aim of improving the efficiency in the future. IMO’s researchers participate in the implementation of the interim evaluation in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Monte Negro. In addition to analysis of all available documents, approximately 30 interviews are to be carried out with key stakeholders in planning and implementing programs and with potential applicants for funding from IPA CBC programs.
