Zagreb: European Commission Representation in Croatia, August Cesarec street no. 4

The focus of the round table “Challenges of competitiveness for the new EU member states and Croatia” will be targeted at position and perspectives of Croatia for the advancement on the scales of competitiveness, positive developments and weaknesses in certain areas of competitiveness, as well as on the policy initiatives for strengthening competitiveness at the national level. The starting ground for the discussion will be the strategies and policy mechanisms of the EU targeted towards strengthening of competitiveness. The discussion will attempt to comparatively evaluate the situation in Croatia with the situation in other EU member states and to define some important recommendations for the policy makers in Croatia. The introductory presentations will be followed by the time for questions and debate.

This round table is the fourth public event within the Jean Monnet project “Policy Observatory in Croatia – POLO-Cro28” which is implemented by IRMO since September 2015, and which is financed from the Erasmus + program of the European Commission.
