The Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of France in Croatia has organized a round table entitled ,Artificial Intelligence and Decision-Making in the Contemporary World′. The round table was held on November 29 2023 at the Hotel Dubrovnik in the Ban Zrinski Hall starting at 2:00 p.m.

Contemporary society found itself in a new digital environment that is constantly evolving. The development of, until now, unknown digital tools, accompanied by an inexhaustible source of information, and thus misinformation, have brought the decision-making procedure into question. The emergence of the digital world that we are witnessing brings benefits such as increased efficiency, but the consequences that accompany it must not be overlooked. Therefore, the IT security and the role of AI have become crucial in the debate on decision-making, as well as on security in international environment. The round table therefore discussed the effects of artificial intelligence on international security and conflict resolution, the economic and foreign policy of the European Union and the ethical aspect of digital social development.
