Description of project – Overall objective: Sustainable development, planning and implementation using Croatian natural resources, human resources and knowledge.
The main goal of the project is the use of scientific researches in preparing the technical assistance for environmental protection and quality improvement processes, as well as the realization of the sustainable development assumptions by designing the new technological procedures and possibilities for effective utilization of natural resources. Based on international experience (Investigation of Effectiveness of Special Natural Substrates for Improvement of Degraded Forest Soils in Tyrol, Karst Ecosystem Conservation Project), the new ecologically acceptable possibilities for application of natural minerals in sanitation of waste disposal, agriculture, forestry and livestock breeding was investigated.
Ecological-economic analytical methods (cost-benefit analysis) for estimation of environmental impact of new technologies were developed.
