Among the activities with which IRMO marks 60 years of its work, and as part of the Cooperation Agreement with the Institute for Central Europe from Lublin, Spasimir Domaradzki, Anna Jagiełło-Szostak and Jan Mus were guests at IRMO on May 18th 2023. They exchanged the findings of current research with IRMO researchers, and the discussion was structured in two thematic blocks: International relations, security and migration, and the Change in the position of SEE in the international division of labor. Issues related to the perception and reality of Russian influence in Croatia and its neighborhood and the consequences of the war in Ukraine on the entire region of the Western Balkans were highlighted. In addition to the exchange of experience, the main goal of the meeting was to identify the following activities – topics for joint research and ways of inter-institutional cooperation. Activities for the period until the end of 2023 and the method of updating the cooperation plan were agreed upon.
