Methodological instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture, Directorate of Fisheries, were used in the elaboration of the project. A strategic development plan was made through partnership approach including all development specificities in the fisheries area of the FLAG Southern Adriatic, which are in accordance with the development policy of fisheries and aquaculture in the Republic of Croatia and the European Union. The strategy defines development framework, guidelines and determinants for priorities of the future development and provides operating background for their implementation, for successful and efficient use of financial sources from EU funds and other sources. The project strengthens participation of the public and promotion of local initiatives in the development of fisheries and aquaculture in the area of the FLAG Southern Adriatic through CLLD and partnership i.e. inclusion of relevant stakeholders, economy representatives, local government and civil society in the process of elaboration and implementation of the strategy.
