SmartInno – R&I System Analysis – Transnational Mapping and Common Operating Model

Through SmartInno project a smart network system was formed that will help monitoring research and innovation (R&I) capacities in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in eight countries of the Adriatic region. Eighteen partners participated in the project implementation and the IRMO elaborated analysis of potentials, research and innovations of SMEs of the Istria County, analysis of the needs of those enterprises regarding amounts and forms of R&I financing as well as the support of the relevant institutions. These studies were compared with the results of the analyses of the other seven countries participants in the SmartInno project. Based on those results a network for encouraging and strengthening of research and innovation in the region.
